Week 25 On Chain Recap
To begin with, let’s go through the ranking of dApps on Avalanche by active users for the last 7 days.
Speaking of top Avalanche dApps with the most active users in Week 25, Trader Joe is the leading decentralized cryptocurrency exchange for the Avalanche network. It’s also the most popular dApps on Avalanche with 33.25k active users. Specifically, Trader Joe’s reached the highest revenue this month, of $582K on June 13.
Pangolin, a community-driven decentralized exchange (DEX) running on Avalanche that supports all Avalanche and Ethereum tokens, is in 2nd place with 3.79k active users. Pangolin is well known for its features, such as fast settlement, low fees, and a democratic process.
Additionally, Bogged Finance, the All-In-One Platform for DeFi Trading, came third place with 3.68k active users. It contains a set of tools that make it easy for users to trade tokens on many chains, and allows users to view real-time charts, wallet data and pair Information; whereas Step.app, a move-to-earn game app, although released just recently, is on the 4th place with 3.64k of active users.
There is no doubt that Avalanche is known as the “blockchain of blockchains” because it is not only a single blockchain like Ethereum or Solana, but also the fastest smart contracts platform in the blockchain industry, as measured by time-to-finality.
However, Avalanche is not the blockchain that has the highest number of explorers. For more information, let’s take a look at the chart below.
As we all can see, BNB Chain is in 1st place with over 20.000k explorers, overtaking Ethereum. Launched by the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, BNB Chain relies on a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus, and features a wide range of DApps and DeFi (decentralized finance) products. Indeed, the blockchain supports several decentralized exchanges (DEX) platforms such as PancakeSwap or BurgerSwap, that is why it attracted a lot of attention from the crypto community and has the highest number of explorers.
On the other hand, Ethereum, which began as a concept paper by Vitalik Buterin in 2013 and came to life as an independent blockchain in 2015, came 2nd place with 20,000,000 explorers. Compared with BNB Chain, Ethereum scaling has surfaced as an issue with high gas fees.
Last week’s most notable event on Avalanche was probably Ava Labs launching Core. Core is a non-custodial but feature-packed wallet, intending to give Web3 users a superior experience. When using Core, users can experience a utility application including Avalanche apps, Subnets, Bridges, and NFTs. The main features of Core are listed at the picture below:
